Good morning everyone!
Today is a good day; not just because my new album is now available everywhere, not just because I am having my morning coffee on a sun-drenched back porch while the season's first lizards are checking out the yard, but mostly because the first thing I saw on my newsfeed today was a reminder that there are still people in this country who have not given up on fighting the world's biggest evils, and who reveal these evils through the highest available channels, rather than through rants on their FB walls.
While it seems that almost everyone in power now adheres to the new notion that the socioeconomic tide we so recklessly created can not be turned, and while most people with available funds are using those funds to reserve their own life rafts for when we hit the inevitable iceberg, there are still a few exceptions working selflessly to alter our course.
There is still a handful of people who refuse to surrender to the odds, simply because the odds are stacked against them. There are still people who believe that even if the system collapses, this should not happen under the guise of "oh well", but that it should hold accountable the forces that caused this collapse, so that we might learn how to better steer the evolution of our collective consciousness in the future.
Yesterday, one of those brave rebels, foot-soldier-turned-senator Elizabeth Warren, held yet another hearing in yet another attempt to expose the roots of our system's failure.
Is it coincidence that the person she is questioning looks like a giant rat? Is it coincidence that the metaphor of her lonely battle is depicted by the empty chairs on either side of her?
Is it coincidence that you are reading this status update until the very end?
If your gut answer to any of the questions above is 'no', then do yourself a favor and share this clip from yesterday. It may not seem like much, but I would not have written this if someone else had not posted it. A share of this post means more to me than a sale of my album.
Thank you for your continued efforts to turn the almighty tide Elizabeth Warren. Your efforts do not go unnoticed.
Have a great weekend everyone!
