Introducing our third and final artist in the round hailing from Long Beach, New York, Mia Rosa. Mia is a classically trained singer–songwriter with past performances at Carnegie Hall. Rooted in jazz and colored by the warmth of R&B, her music explores love as something tangible and deeply intimate. Through each song, she seeks to create moments of genuine connection—free from expectation, exchange, or pretense.

Introducing our next artist in the round, Ava Anderson. Ava has been a professional performing musician, recording artist and songwriter for over 20 years. After graduating from Berklee College of Music with a dual Bachelor of Music in Music Production & Engineering and Songwriting, she continues to be an active live performer and engineer in New York.

During the pandemic she hosted several livestream concerts to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the White Mountain Apache Reservation, The Loveland Foundation, and more. Shortly after, she launched Keeping Room Records with her mom where she continues to do freelance production and engineering work. Additionally, Ava climbed the ladder at WABC Radio in New York City where she ran syndicated and local programming as Assistant Program Director and Executive Producer for over 20 different shows.

Now, with the help of owner, chef and lead baker Jill Bellovin, they are joining forces and introducing something new to the Long Beach community in New York. With their event “The Blackbird,” fashioned after the famous Bluebird Cafe in Tennessee, they will celebrate the arts by inviting artists and music appreciators who are just outside their door, giving back to the beautiful city by the sea.

Introducing our first artist in the round, Mikey Slowey. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Mikey is a vocalist, songwriter, and producer whose work blends emotive storytelling with modern, dynamic production. As a singer and writer first, Mikey’s music is rooted in expressive vocals, honest lyricism, and a deep sense of melody — elements that define both his own artistry and the projects he shapes for others.

Primarily producing for singer/songwriter and indie-pop artists, he brings a refined ear for vocal performance and emotional nuance. Whether he’s crafting intimate toplines, developing lyrics, or building full-scale arrangements from the ground up, Mikey approaches every track with intention and authenticity.

From writing sessions to late-night production work, Mikey is steadily carving out a space marked by creativity, vocal identity, and a commitment to the craft.
