DJ tips for the current peeps.
You’re already a solid DJ so try this:
Tip #1
The mic on off is typically on the left side upper area of the mixer
Unless it’s a battle mixer. Sux to see my homies in their zone and it gets disrupted when then go to use the mic & nothing comes out. (Aslo dosn’t hurt to do a lil “check check”)
SET Your QUE points!!!! (Derrick 😂😂)
You may not need them, but why not have them.
Don’t be afraid to put your
hands on the platters. They can take it.
Learn a baby scratch at least
Even if you never use it, it just adds options.
Play on what ever you want or have. There’s no rules.
However, have a working knowledge of multiple set ups. That way you’re not blindsided.
Backup your flash drives. And keep a spare.
They’re super cheap so grab a couple.
Know your tech, now a days part of being a DJ involves being your own IT person.
