Wow, how to summarize an event that formed such a huge part of who I am today? It all started in 2006. That year, "fatal1ty" attended . For a 16 year old kid, realizing this dude played games for a living was truly mindblowing. On my return home, my mind was set. I wanted to be a pro-gamer.
1: In 2008, I made my return to rAge to compete in the Telkom Do Gaming Championships in Call of Duty 4. I played for a clan (yes, we called them clans back then 🤣)
2: In 2009, I attended rAge with my same clan to compete in the biggest CoD4 tournament yet. Team "Brazen" won that year and joined Bravado Gaming. I knew that was the team I HAD to play for!
3: In 2010, the legend hosted the CoD tournie and secured the attendance of LEGENDS, including KyoChi.
4: 2011, a dream comes true. I joined . I look back, and this was probably my best performance on LAN. I played my face off to prove I was worthy of my spot in that squad.
5: Winner Winner Baby, Bravado are your 2012 Call of Duty 4 champions!! My proudest moment in my competitive gaming career. I forced my lady to come and watch. Thankfully, we won, or i might not be married today 🤣
6: 2013, my final year competing. In that time of my life, attending rAge and being together with my brothers at Bravado Gaming was truly the highlight of every year.
7: Fast forward to 2016. I attended rAge as a guest speaker. Focusing on the topic of the growth of competitive gaming and how my company () was trying to elevate the industry in South Africa.
8: In 2018, I hosted my own tournament at rAge, over a decade after attending my first event as a competitor! The lady in PIC 5 is now my wife, and she is helping me admin my PUBG tournament 😅.
9: Who would have thought. In 2019, I would attend rAge as the Head of the Gaming Department, facilitating the partnership between both brands.
10: A first-time occasion in 2023! Africas first Gaming Athlete welcomed to the Red Bull family on the rAge main stage!
