HARRIS COUNTY MAN FROM THE C.E. KING AREA SENTENCED TO 25 YEARS FOR AGG S*X ASSLT CHILD-UNDER 14

Francisco Hinojosa, 25, was found guilty of AGG S*X ASSLT CHILD-UNDER 14 after a jury trial in August

Hinojosa is from the C.E. King area in East Harris County. The jury sentenced him to 25 years in prison.

The case was heard in the 495th Criminal District Court under Cause No. 1746369.

The victim’s mother told us that Hinojosa attended traveling softball games and was around youth softball teams and young girls. She shared this information because she believes there may be additional victims who have not yet been identified.

The mother is speaking publicly because she believes there could be others who have not come forward. Anyone with relevant information, or anyone who believes they may have been victimized, is encouraged to contact law enforcement.

The jury’s verdict was clear: Hinojosa was found guilty of AGG S*X ASSLT CHILD-UNDER 14 and sentenced to 25 years in prison.

NEW OVERNIGHT: A welfare check at a Harris County home led deputies to a disturbing discovery — a 73-year-old mother allegedly found stuffed inside a duffel bag, and her son now faces a murder charge.

Court records reveal Arman Malik, 34, faces felony charges of murder and tampering with a human co**se, in a case involving his mother Dyna Guadalupe Sorto De Malik. He was allegedly sleeping inside their home on Valley Knoll Drive while her body was concealed in a duffel bag in the bedroom across the hallway.

He appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. He was rushed to the hospital for evaluation while investigators processed the home.

Court records say he allegedly hit her in the head then wrapped her body in bloody sheets and a rug, while investigators also found apparent blood spatter and home security cameras that had been disabled, turned toward a wall or blocked.

His mother's cause and manner of death have not yet been determined.

UPDATE: Court records say a man accused of killing two west Houston apartment employees allegedly confessed—telling investigators he shot them during an argument over his lease.

Derrick Duane Jackson, 53, is charged with capital murder and remains in jail without bond. Investigators say he admitted to shooting Rosa Linda Ybarra and Felix Antonio Jimenez Macz, the leasing manager and an agent, during an argument over his lease.

Police arrested Jackson Sept. 4. Records say investigators found forensic evidence in his motel room. He’s due in court Tuesday morning.
