American singer-songwriter and actress Miley Cyrus was spotted on Wednesday, April 23, atop a rooftop in Long Island City, filming a new commercial for New York at , located at 43rd Avenue and 9th Street.

The Award-winning artist performed a series of stunts for the shoot, stepping onto a set of steps and leaping toward the camera as film crews, makeup artists and hairstylists worked behind the scenes.

The shoot drew a crowd of fans and photographers outside the building. After wrapping, Cyrus took time to sign autographs, pose for selfies and greet supporters before leaving the set.

The popular retail crawl, founded by Brass Owl owner Nicole Panettieri, features 26 local businesses and runs from Friday, April 25, until Sunday, May 4. This gives shoppers 10 days to browse through their favorite local stores.

The spring retail crawl has been expanded from seven days to ten days to give customers more time to explore the neighborhood and discover new favorites at their own pace.
