Congratulations! We look forward to her reign as State Fair Superstar and can't wait to watch her enjoy her customized artist development package with multi-award winning Detroit artist and Superstar mentor Phoebe Holmes. We know that the EP that comes out of it will be fantastic!

Come see Izzy Joy’s headlining sets at the Michigan State Fair on Labor Day; her first set on the Main Stage is at 4:00pm and her second follows at 5:00pm.

Fan voting can award bonus points to each competitor, and is conducted through a QR code/google form link unique to each competitor. Each competitor is tasked with engaging their social media presence to spread their unique link. Those choosing to vote will have 60 minutes from the start of each competitor’s performance to submit their vote.

The schedule is available on the Fair website and will also be posted here at 7:00am tomorrow morning (Saturday, August 30). We hope to see many of you in person in the audience, but if you can't make it to Novi tomorrow, be sure to give our semi-finalists a shoutout here on facebook, where we will be live-streaming their versions of this year's required piece (Keep Going by Edgar A. Guest, Michigan’s first poet Laureate) as well as any originals they perform for us.

In the summer of 2024, four raccoons in a trench coat started Building A Death Ray on a foundation of vocal harmonies, eclectic instrumentals, and rabies. The resulting device fires an intense alt rock blast that melts faces, hearts, and trash cans alike.
