Hello Sonic Asylum Radio Family,

Reminder ~ The radio station will be shutting down June 1, 2025.

As of April, 2025, Sonic Asylum Radio has been rocking the worldwide internet airwaves for 13 years, and what an absolutely amazing time it has been! For myself, this month marks ten-years for Metal Euphoria at the station, which is just unbelievable! Over the years the SAR family has changed, grown, etc. and wow, we have been so lucky and blessed to bring phenomenal music to the masses, conduct excellent interviews, meet incredible people / lifelong friends, bands, musicians, etc., forge relationships with record labels, PR companies, music promoters, etc., attend many shows and concerts in support of the music scene and even emcee several festivals! The overall experience has truly been extraordinary, outstanding and just a lot of damn fun!!

The DJs and Staff at Sonic Asylum Radio love and appreciate everyone that has supported the station, listened to the shows / stream, hung out in the chat room and everything else you have done to enhance the radio station over the years.

Keep on Rockin’ and much love! ~ Metal Maiden Vicki 😎🤘💓

SONIC ASYLUM RADIO IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

Hello SAR Family,

Okay, now, with that being said, due to life circumstances changing and many things going on at once, George, Paul and I would like to announce that Sonic Asylum Radio will be going off the air. This was a hard decision to make but nonetheless is a necessary decision. We are looking to officially shut the station down on June 1, 2025 and will continue to do live DJ shows and run our 24/7 music stream until that date. We will be keeping the Sonic Asylum Radio page active, because why not? It can stay there, lol.

As for me, I’m keeping my Metal Euphoria page. I am not giving up DJing, I just don’t have the time or wherewithal to manage all I do at the station. George and Paul can’t give the time needed as well and we think shutting down the station is our best bet. I probably will DJ again in the near future, but other stuff is pending in my life that is taking precedence.

We understand this comes as quite a surprise and shock, but please know that we love and appreciate everyone that has supported the station, listened to the shows / stream, hung out in the chat room and everything else you have done to enhance the radio station over the years. This post has not been easy, but I hope you all understand our decision. 😎🤘

My final Metal Euphoria broadcast on Sonic Asylum Radio will be this Saturday, May 24, 2025 and I have a little something planned for the occasion, so I do hope that you can join me.

Keep on Rockin’ and much love! ~ Metal Maiden Vicki 💓

Sharing on this day as I have every year. I wrote this poem the night he passed away and not a day goes by where I don't miss this man. 💖🤘

In Loving Memory of Ronnie James Dio 5/16/10

He caught the rainbow, he stargazed into that magical night sky.
His legacy, his talent will never die.
His love of music filled his heart, filled his soul; he shared his gift
for you, for I.
Now he’s sped into the night to embark on a new path.
He certainly made his mark, our beloved rainbow in the dark.
So much more than a picture, than an image caught in time.
His aesthetic musicality was just purely sublime.
But now he’s gone, still I’m sad.
But there’s no shame on this night because there is a light in the black.
I have no doubt that he will be back.
But for now we will miss him dearly.
Who knows, perhaps he’s already sitting on a silver mountain able
to see human existence more clearly.
God Speed RJD...you will forever be the self portrait of musical genius to me.

12/05/2025

In addition to rocking out to the radio station's 24/7 music stream, there are RECAPS of our DJ's live weekly shows on the homepage that you can explore and listen to at your leisure! 😎🤘
