PRESS RELEASE!!!
NEVER AGAIN: CHIEF DR. EMEKA CHARLES KALU CONDEMS THE SENSELESS ACT OF GEN👁️CIDE IN BENUE STATE, NIGERIA.
The continued reports of serial gen👁️cide in Benue State, Enugu State and other part of the country are both heartbreaking and horrifying. These systematic acts of vi👁️lence, aimed at the erasure of entire populations based on ethnicity, religion, or identity, are cr*mes against humanity and must be unequivocally condemned by all people of conscience.
Entire families have been torn apart, communities reduced to ashes, and generations silenced in the span of a few years or even months. These are not isolated acts of vi👁️lence; they are carefully orchestrated campaigns designed to elim*nate cultural and physical existence. The magnitude of the latest ki**ling in Yelewata Benue State is staggering yet too often, the global response is tepid or delayed.
Indifference is not neutrality, it is complicity. When the world fails to act, it emboldens perpetrators. The survivors of gen👁️cide bear the physical and emotional scars of not only their trauma but of being unheard. History has taught us that silence in the face of oppression is a betrayal of our shared humanity. We must listen, speak, and act.
The president's plan to visit Benue State is not enough, there must also be justice. International bodies, human rights organizations, and nations must work together to investigate cr*mes, bring perpetrators to trial, and support survivors with resources for healing and rebuilding. Justice is not revenge, it's the foundation of peace and reconciliation. The media must not be caged to hide this evil again.
We owe it to the victims, the survivors, and future generations to build systems that recognize early warning signs and prevent these horrors before they unfold. Through education, international cooperation, and grassroots advocacy, we can create a world where every person’s life is valued and protected regardless of background or belief.
