The Berkeley Graduate A publication project of the Graduate Assembly The Berkeley Graduate is a newly redesigned blog published by the Graduate Assembly of UC Berkeley.

This publication serves graduate and professional students. The goal of this project is to inform and inspire graduate students by connecting them to a campus-wide community. By tapping into the collective knowledge of the graduate student body, this project aims to facilitate learning among graduate students about how to make the most of their time at Berkeley. The Berkeley Graduate acts as a cam

pus resource and as a forum that highlights graduate student work and activities and encourages student participation in the broader community by showcasing the campus, local, state, and national impact of a variety of outreach, social and advocacy programs. Contributors to the Berkeley Graduate have the opportunity to work collectively on a project with students from other schools and departments. Message us if interested in submitting a piece. You're invited to this discussion tomorrow!

WHEN: Thursday, March 16
12:10- 1:30 pm

WHERE: Room 309 Sproul

WHAT:
Come join other graduate students in a dialogue about the various facets (joys/sorrows/ups/downs/tumultuousness of relationships/family pressures/cultural norms, etc.) of seeking love, seeking or being in a relationship while managing graduate school. Also, falling in love and managing a growing relationship, giving time to that and your heart/spirit while paying attention to school.
Everyone's path to love is different ... please join the discussion!

Facilitated by Lisa Min, former counselor at Tang

WHY: Because relationships are BIG in everyone's life (either b/c you have them or b/c you don't or maybe you want one).

See you Thursday!

"Breathe Deeply....Repeat" ..... tip from the TangCenter: Healthy habits like exercise or meditation can help to promote resilience toward stressors! http://bit.ly/2msVbjo

Stress is inevitable. How you react to it makes the biggest difference. Strong stress management skills lead to higher levels of happiness and satisfaction. All it takes is a plan and a little bit of mindfulness.

"Do you identify as non-binary, genderqueer, agender, gender non-conforming, gender fluid, bigender, third gender, androgyne, questioning, etc.? Are you looking for a space to get support and connect with others who identify outside the gender binary?"

Please consider attending the "New Gender Spectrum Support Group." https://uhs.berkeley.edu/news/new-gender-spectrum-support-group

Students can use the medical services at the Tang Center just as they would their regular doctor's office and urgent care center. Our facility is fully accredited, staffed by licensed and/or board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, a nutritionist, and nurses.
