Nagarjuna and Tabu are reportedly set to reunite on screen after 27 years for the veteran actor's 100th film, tentatively titled 'King100'. According to sources, the film will be a family action drama with strong emotional undertones, directed by Ra Karthik. This will mark their first major collaboration since the mid-1990s, when they created magic on screen in iconic films like 'Ninne Pelladatha', 'Sindoori', and 'Aavida Maa Aavide'.
The duo's chemistry was widely appreciated in these films, and fans are eagerly awaiting their reunion. 'King100' has already commenced production in Hyderabad, with Nagarjuna's home banner, Annapurna Studios, producing the film. Music composer Devi Sri Prasad has been signed to score the film.
Reports suggest Tabu will play a substantial, non-glamorous character, adding depth to the story. There's also buzz about possible cameo appearances by Nagarjuna's sons, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni, to celebrate the landmark feature. If confirmed, this reunion would be a monumental event in Nagarjuna's career, both a milestone and a nostalgic return for fans.
Nagarjuna was last seen in the negative role in Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Coolie', opposite Rajinikanth. Tabu, on the other hand, has an exciting lineup ahead, including 'Bhooth Bangla' with Akshay Kumar, directed by Priyadarshan, and another film with Vijay Sethupathi under Puri Jagannadh's direction. The film is expected to hit theaters in mid-2026.
