Peace in the Storm Publishing is proud to announce the arrival of a new voice, a necessary voice, a voice that does not ask for permission to feel deeply or to speak truth with clarity. We welcome Armani Peterson, our newest author, and celebrate the forthcoming release of her debut collection, Diary of an Empath: The Burden and the Bloom, arriving in 2026.

About the book:

Peace in the Storm Publishing continues our Women's History Month celebration with Sharel E. Gordon-Love.

Author, Publisher, Screenwriter, Evangelist, Motivational Speaker, and Brand Ambassador

Sharel E. Gordon-Love is a licensed evangelist, author, publisher, motivational speaker, and brand ambassador who is a former Domestic Violence victim and a two-time cancer survivor. Sharel personally advocates for both through her writing and the platform of inspirational speaker to share her experiences and life journey.

Sharel will tell you that as a child, life was never ordinary for her. It was during these formative years that she found a great love for the written word and the vehicle it is to be able to help and encourage others.

Born and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey, Evangelist Love is the oldest daughter born to the late Ronald A. Gordon, and Coretha Cobb. She is the mother of three sons, Khayree, Alvin “AJ,” and Ronald, (Tamare), and grandmother to identical twin girls, Harper, and Olivia.
Sharel E. Gordon-Love, who has reviewed literary artists for A Place of Our Own Book Club (APOOO) 2005 to 2014, also hosted her own radio broadcast, “Inspired Moments with Sharel,” at World Harvest Radio located in Plainfield, New Jersey. She enjoyed using this platform to introduce new authors, singers, poets, artists, and activists, who, like her, address critical health concerns, and work to bring about social change.

Writing for Sharel began at the age of six, winning immediate recognition for her essays and short stories. Her first nonfiction work, “Is There Hope for the Black Male?” was published by Black Child Magazine in 1994.

Sharel’s life experiences and formal education is what she pulled from as an author through which she has been part of an anthology, titled The Heart of Our Community in 2006.

Additionally, Sharel has several published works beginning with the “Seasons of Life” Sharel has also released a 7-book eBook series titled, “Saved to Served.”

In July of 2015, Sharel became the publisher of After The Storm Publishing, LLC, a division of Peace in the Storm Publishing, LLC. ASP Kids

Continuing with our celebration of Women's History Month, Peace in the Storm Publishing honors author Sherabim Joy!

Sherabim Joy is an award-winning author, publishing across multiple genres. “Manny And The Magic Keys”-A Gift From Papa”, her first children’s book, was released in December 2020 and has achieved tremendous success. The book can be found in multiple schools throughout NJ and NY as well as in public libraries. The follow-up book in the Manny series, “DJ And The Drum Recital” continues the adventure behind the shiny red door and teaches children important life lessons about self-esteem and self-confidence.

Sherabim is also a preacher, motivational preacher, and Biblical counselor. In addition to her children’s books, she has written two Christian novels, “Mema’s Pretty Little Black Girls” and Christian Indie award-winning novel, “After the Benediction.” Her non-fiction works include “Heart of a Woman: Motherhood, Marriage, Ministry, and Money”, and “Life Won’t Wait. She is also a contributing author in the anthology “A Mother’s Love.”

Sherabim is an award-winning - the 21st Annual African American Literary Awards Show and her win for her contribution in "The Breakthrough: Beauty for Ashes."

Sherabim is a Certified Temperament Counselor and is trained to offer support services to individuals expressing the need and/or desire for Biblical counseling using Temperament Therapy. Sherabim is available for revivals, prayer services, empowerment sessions, seminars and workshops, coaching sessions, and counseling.
