On Thursday, August 21 the Barrie Catch the Ace Committee - made up of members of the Rotary Club of Barrie and the Barrie Legion were on hand at the weekly Rotary Club of Barrie luncheon meeting to present the Rotary Club's share of the proceeds from the just-completed RAF1427448 Licensed Catch the Ace Lottery.

The cheque amount is $385,000! And with this money, the Rotary Club will contribute this all back into our community to organizations that help our society in so many ways.

This is the 5th CTA Lottery that our Legion has partnered with the Rotary Club on. The Volunteers have worked hard to grow this lottery. Back in September 2022 our first Weekly Winner received $387. Three years later, the Week 39 Winner, on August the 7th won $48,747 for being the Weekly Winner plus finding the Progressive JackPot of over $701K.

Our Story

Assisting You Social is powered by the dynamic sibling duo of Barbara & Jim Lowe. We fought about everything when we were kids; toys, TV shows, riding in the front seat, who Mom loved more, musical tastes…seriously, everything!

Honestly, it is amazing that we didn’t kill each other. Years passed, Jim’s hair got grey, Barbara decided to wear more than just black clothes and, most importantly, we realized how well our individual superpowers, errr, skill sets, complimented each other. So, in classic superhero fashion, we teamed up to become the Assisting You Social Media Power Squadron. And we hardly ever fight anymore. Except over Jim’s somewhat nerdy “Social Media Power Squadron” title, which is totally not making it into the final draft of the website (Shhhhhh). Well, that and music. We still hate each other’s music.
