Just released a cover of the theme song from Dune!!

I am so excited to share with you my cover of the theme song from DUNE! ( "Paul's Dream" by Hans Zimmer )

I started working on it back in 2022/23 when I was pregnant but when exhaustion hit I didn't touch it until after my son turned 1. Even then, I was only able to do 5 minutes a month it seemed LOL. So to have finally finished and released the song is a pretty big deal. It is also my favorite of all the covers I have done.

I envisioned The Selkie Siren feeling the need of water from the Fremen. She then magically teleports to Arrakis and uses her special siren magic to heal the planet and bring water to them.

I had a lot of fun using my vocals in this cover in place of the cello and using a softer siren like vocal in place of Loire Cotler's intense vocals. Although I LOVE her vocals and the original sound, I definitely couldn't use that intensity for my Selkie style music.

One of my favorite spots in my house ❤️.

Just playing this piano gives me all the inspiration I need to produce more music. I hope I can do so again soon. Being a new mom I definitely struggle to find time or energy to create 🤣.
