In the heart of Louisville, Kentucky, a powerful force for change is at work: New Legacy Reentry Corporation This dedicated non-profit is confronting the past to redesign the future, providing a vital lifeline for individuals seeking a second chance and empowering them to become thriving members of our community.

New Legacy's mission is clear and impactful: to provide long-term residential housing, vocational education, spiritual enrichment, entrepreneurship guidance, and basic life skills to former felons. Their holistic approach tackles the multifaceted challenges faced by those re-entering society, addressing issues like joblessness, homelessness, and the societal stigma that often hinders successful reintegration.

What makes New Legacy so remarkable?

A Comprehensive Pathway to Success: New Legacy offers a transformative 12 to 24-month residential program. This isn't just about housing; it's a carefully structured journey designed to equip individuals with the tools they need to break cycles and build sustainable, productive lives.

Empowering Through Education and Skills: The "Jeremiah Project" is a cornerstone of their vocational training, providing hands-on experience in the construction industry for male ex-offenders and veterans. This practical training, combined with culinary and hospitality training, directly addresses the critical need for employable skills.

Beyond Job Training: Life Skills for Lasting Change: New Legacy understands that true transformation goes beyond employment. They provide crucial basic life skills training, entrepreneurship guidance, and spiritual enrichment, fostering personal growth and a sense of purpose.

Combating Recidivism, Building Community: By offering a safe and supportive residential community, New Legacy actively combats recidivism. They create an environment where residents are cared for, supported, and reconnected to their communities, preventing a return to incarceration.

A Commitment to a Brighter Future: New Legacy's dedication extends to helping individuals obtain essential identification documents like IDs, birth certificates, and Social Security cards, removing significant barriers to employment and independent living.

The impact of New Legacy's work resonates throughout Louisville, creating a ripple effect of positive change. They are not just transforming individual lives; they are strengthening families, enriching communities, and building a more equitable and opportunity-filled future for all.

Support New Legacy and be a part of this incredible work! Your contribution helps unlock potential, foster growth, and build a stronger, more inclusive Louisville.
