FREED Magazine FREED Magazine consists of a group of believers who have come together to propel all people to live in freedom. John 8:36 (NLT)

We are FREED to love, to have joy, to impact our culture, freed to forgive freed to have hope, to be exactly who God has called us to be. We believe that if we come together as men and women of God we will see healing, empowerment, and freedom to this generation. So if the Son (Jesus) sets you free, you are truly FREE.

FREED DEVO📖

Have you ever fallen into the trap of believing that joy is meant to be experienced at the end of the journey?

If so, you and I are a lot alike. For a long time I believed that celebration, delight, and goodness needed to remain out of the picture if I was going to make it out on the other side of a rough season. As if sadness and sorrow deserved more of a center stage than they already had in my life. As if I needed to appear beat down, wrecked, and battered to prove that I was indeed not okay. As if I couldn’t enjoy the day to day glimmers of light that God offered me.

But it wasn’t until God opened up my eyes to the revelation of this text that I came to know that there is no making it through a rough time without joy leading the way.

See friend, the joy of the Lord IS your strength. It’s your fire, your fuel, and the wind beneath your wings. It is God’s breath, God’s presence, and God’s love when you’re IN the storm that gets you THROUGH the storm. But if you don’t stop to acknowledge that God is indeed trying to give you the gift of it? It’s possible you’ll miss it.

It is true that some days feel heavier than others, and it’s okay to acknowledge that. And yet it is also okay to acknowledge that you and I have access to a steady, unmovable, unchangeable God who shows himself faithful, true, and real every. single. day.

So how are you going to embrace joy this week? In the right here and the right now? What practical steps will you take to make sure you don’t miss His light?

We love you!🫶🏽

“It’s so important not to fall into the temptation of seeing God’s delay or His quietness as denial or disregard. We serve a compassionate and gracious God who isn’t withholding good things from those who walk with integrity (Psalms 84:11). He simply works in ways and in timing outside of our realm of understanding.

When we can release our will and our desires to Christ, we can trust in Him to align those things with His perfect plan and deliver them to us in His perfect timing. There is no need to try to manifest or manufacture things on our own. We simply can trust in God to be who He has always been and who He continues to be.

I’m so grateful God knew enough to know when I was truly ready to embrace and appreciate my husband for who he is. My husband is a man I would have waited a lifetime for because this life we live together is better than I could have ever imagined. We now get to build and create a life together in the most beautiful way, according to the will of God for the glory of God.“

Hey Freed Family!

This is your reminder that in September, you’re free to begin again.

Whether that means you are picking up the idea again, taking up your devotional time with God again, or setting aside intentional time for rest again; you can do it.

Why? Because God’s not done, and if God’s not done; you shouldn’t be either.

Be encouraged, there’s still time to run YOUR race here🫶🏽

“There’s a moment in everyone’s life when they realize they’re not truly living. For me, that moment didn’t come until my mid-20s. Up until that point, I thought I was just a little shy, just introverted, just careful. But deep down, I was living afraid. I didn’t fully understand what anxiety was back then and as a Christian that word was taboo, if I’m honest. I had heard the word, sure—but what I didn’t know was that I had been battling it my entire life. It was more than nerves. It was more than butterflies. It was a deep, soul-stirring fear that gripped me so tightly I often couldn’t breathe when I needed to show up in the world.”

Here’s something I’ve learned the hard way more times than I would like to admit-

You cannot be more ambitious than you are surrendered to God. Your desire to have, do, or be more cannot overshadow your obedience to God. If it is not happening within your timeframe, then you have to trust that God’s timing is best. If God gave you a ‘no’, it’s not for you to try to force it to be a
‘yes’. It’s for you to trust that God’s ‘no’ is protective and a part of God’s providential direction for your life.

I recently saw a post (I cannot recall the origin of the post) that said, “When you understand that God is never late, you wait differently.” Similarly, I think when you understand that God is never wrong, you accept His ‘no’ or ‘not yet’ differently.

Don’t get yourself out of alignment with God’s will, trying to force something outside of His timing, or something He never had for you to begin with. Trust in God’s word and His nature. Trust that He has good things set aside for you, even if they differ from what you think you want or need.

Happy Tuesday Freed family!

Throughout this month we have shared a lot about what the journey to freedom requires. But we’d be lying to you if we didn’t share with you the KEY to freedom.

Proverbs 4:25 says “Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you.”

This is the key friends. Eyes on Jesus.

When the world begs you to look elsewhere, make the decision to gaze upon the only One worthy. When the world shouts that you should be “grinding”, creating a path for yourself, or working till sundown; fix your eyes on the One who doesn’t slumber.

He’s got you.

Do you believe it? Will you embrace it?

The choice is always yours🖤
