Fervent Greetings!
We are highlighting the contemporary Filipiniana collections from a few carefully chosen designers for this first edition. There will be more to show off, including more ingenious works.
Our traditional Filipiniana has evolved over time, from classic to cage butterfly sleeves to avantgarde and revolutionizing terno, even embellished with hand painting and other techniques to make them even more stunning, beautiful, genuine, and contemporary.
Although we might perceive it as rebellious, the creativity of both the wearer and the designer is shown when we are aware of the history of the pieces. Although it appears sophisticated, beautiful, and elegant, the modern Filipiniana gives the wearer a new persona.
Featuring the creations of a well-known international fashion designer, Antonio Garcia, is a significant artistry from what I typically observe in the industry. His fashion, at first glance, is so unpredictable that you will never know what to expect next. You will be amazed by the nuances of his creations. How did he think of this? His style is adorable!
Since his reintegration in the Philippines, Antonio Garcia is now Jan Garcia, making any interaction with him on or off-set is uncomplicated. He is an affable and intelligent man, and it is fun to know that we were both dance performer in our early years.
The ingenuity of every individual has no boundaries and changes every year, so the emergence of new creations is another fashion craze.
Let's honor every Filipino designer, both local and international, who is expanding their craft by fusing the traditional with the most recent fashion trend.
