Godbout Entertainment Godbout Entertainment is an Emmy Nominated and Emmy Winning production company. Producing Television Show, Shorts and Feature Films.

Godbout Entertainment started back in 1990 as Detour Records. A Miami Based Dance Music Label, producing some of the hottest Freestyle, Dance & House music of the 90's. For 10 years Gerald produce and recorded some of the hottest singers and musicians in the Miami area at his studio. Musicians and Producers from the VILLAGE PEOPLE, INSTANT FUNK, PATTI LA BELLE, CINDY LAUPER, JAMES BROWN, GLORIA ES

TEFAN, 2 UNLIMITED, GUCCI CREW II and L-TRIMM. Artist like TITO PUENTE JR & CALI ALEMAN all recorded and spent time at Gerald studio with him as engineer. Detour Records would go on charting all over the globe releasing five albums and more than a dozen top 10 dance singles. Gerald would also be a voting member of the GRAMMY AWARDS. With music moving away from dance to more of a R&B groove, CEO Gerald J Godbout III decided it was time to move on. Starting Godbout Entertainment was the first step. Second was to change location from Miami to Orlando FL. Third was to take his experience and knowledge in the music business and apply it to his childhood dream of being a Filmmaker. Since then Godbout Entertainment has become an AWARD winning production company with Gerald winning multiple TELLY AWARDS and EMMY® AWARD. Also Godbout's short and feature films have garnered huge accolades from industry professionals and fans alike with Legends "A Friday The 13th Tale" & Legends 2 "A Halloween Tale" being downloaded and viewed over 2 million and half times respectively. Legends has also appear on several horror sites listed as being one of the top 10 best horror fan films. Gerald has also edited and produced many award winning shows like Winter With The Writers and Sports Zone in which he received his EMMY. Since then Godbout Entertainment has produced and edited several other projects including his Hit TV Show Indie Cinema Showcase and new film projects The Trade and the soon to be release Documentary Silver Wings/Shattered Dreams about the first women Air Force Pilots during WW2. Gerald is also a voting member of the local chapter of the Emmy Awards.

Our Story

Godbout Entertainment started back in 1990 as Detour Records. A Miami Based Dance Music Label, producing some of the hottest Freestyle, Dance & House music of the 90's. Detour Records music was played in radio stations around the world and charted in many Dance Magazines.

In 2000 CEO Gerald J Godbout closed Detour Records and Started Godbout Entertainment to focus on his childhood dream of filmmaking. Since opening Godbout Entertainment Gerald has won several TELLY AWARDS for Editing and Cinematography and in 2015 Won a SILVER TELLY AWARD and EMMY nomination for his post production work on the documentary film called Silver Wings, Fly Dreams. Gerald Has been nominated 3 times for the EMMY® AWARD and in 2008 Won for his post production work on a kids sports show called Sports Zone. His films have won several film festival awards including BEST OF for his horror short “Ghost App” 2016

Gerald was a voting member of the Grammy’s and was also a voting member of the local chapter of the Emmy Awards.
