Our series on the Verizon CX Annual Insights Report 2025 continues. This fourth article explores a critical challenge: how businesses can effectively measure the true impact of AI in customer experience.

Executives are optimistic but lack proof: 72% say CX has improved and 66% see loyalty gains, but much of this is based on gut feel rather than hard data.

Current metrics fall short: 53% adapt existing CX metrics, while one-third are working to design new ones tailored to AI.

ROI remains elusive: Leaders acknowledge that translating AI’s benefits into clear financial returns is still a major challenge.

Next step: Developing robust, AI-specific measurement frameworks will be crucial as investments in AI for CX continue to rise.

The takeaway: AI’s potential in CX is clear, but without the right metrics, its true value cannot be justified. Companies that innovate in measurement will be better positioned to prove ROI and secure future growth.

As spending on AI in CX operations is expected to grow, management will increasingly demand concrete evidence of its financial returns

That mindset is already paying off. After securing funding from Antler, Data Copilot landed its first client in just seven months—Bahria Town, the largest private property realtor in Asia. They’ve since continued building momentum and are now in talks to run four POCs with large enterprises. For a company still at the start of its climb, the view from here already looks promising.
