Bon voyage Tasmania. I have been here off and on, mostly on, since 1995. I was a migrant from England when I was 5 and never felt at home in Australia - until I came to Tasmania. The green wilderness resomnated, I met people who felt like real family, and I played music, made theatre and made films.
Now, however, it is time to say goodbye.
I have recently been employed by Cairns Regional Council as the Creative Director of the Creative Life program which includes their major festivals, performing and visual arts program. It's a dream gig in paradise and I'm feeling really blessed to get the opportunity. As you know Koko Flow and I recently married in Taiwan, and so, in a strange way this feels like a brand new start for brand newlyweds. We are excited to embark upon this journey together, arm in arm, heart to heart.
We have lots of people here that we love and respect and we want to spend time with you before we go.
Please come to the last Les Nointers show April 19 at Altar and dance with us and hang out.
And we are hoping to have some farewell shing ding before we go. Or just get in touch and say hi.
Lots of love
L
