Hello everyone, I don't post much on here anymore because of the algorithm and because my podcast doesn't auto-publish here and hasn't in a while. I'll try to remember to manually post stuff from time to time, but as I've mentioned many times, I'm trying to get off these fascist, algorithm-driven sites because it's just not as fun and organic as it used to be.
I'm slowly working on updating my website and setting it up the way I want it, but I've just been busy, so I'm not as far along in that process as I'd like. I've started the process though, so I'd say go over to https://www.greenbloodedbastard.com and bookmark it. My goal is to turn it into a one-stop shop for all my various endeavors and a place to find s**t that works, like older iterations of various social networks. That said, there are links to the social media I sporadically post on.
I don't really talk about my personal life because who needs baggage when you all have your own issues, but I had to put down my sweet doggo Charlie a few days ago due to an unforeseen and sudden issue. So if I'm more sullen and depressed than normal or burst out into tears, just know that's what's driving it. As anyone who has had to put a pet down knows, it's not a fun thing to say, the least, but he only just turned 6 years old and was in basically perfect health, so it hurts 10-fold compared to an aging or sick animal where you've had time to conciously/ subconciously grieve for them before you have to help them move on. I'm so f**king devastated because this happened in his prime, and he was such a happy, cheery guy.
I've been mulling over starting a nonprofit that supports local rescues for a couple of years while in school, and now that I've graduated, I'm going to focus on that a bit more and will get you more details once that is more solidified. That said, I've completed my first chapbook of poetry and plan to create a Kickstarter to 1) get my stuff out there, but 2) I plan to use whatever various art projects that I do in the future to help fund my charity. I printed a proof copy and will check it over, then let you all know about that Kickstarter once it gets closer to a real thing. I hope that you'll support me/it in any way that you can.
Thank you all for the support for the show and for the friendships, no matter how tenuous they may be.
