Makhado Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) under Vhembe District in Limpopo are investigating two separate cases of r**e that occurred this week of June 2026.
On Friday 26 June 2026 at about 18:25, Makhado police responded to a complaint of r**e along the N1 North public road behind the fast food restaurant.
Police arrived at the scene and found a 26 year-old female victim. It is alleged that while the victim was walking alone along the N1 road, an unknown male suspect grabbed and pulled her into nearby bushes and r**ed her. The information at our disposal is that the suspect was wearing a face mask.
A case of r**e has been opened and is under investigation.
In a separate incident reported to Tshilwavhusiku police, two girls, both aged 13, were allegedly r**ed on Monday 22 June 2026 at a residence in Ravele, Riverside.
The victims reportedly went to the home of a known male suspect to deliver a T-shirt at about 19:00.
The suspect allegedly forced both minor victims inside his house and took them to his bedroom and r**ed them.
One of the victims was reported missing on Monday 22 June 2026 until the members of the community later located her and informed her mother who then went to Tshilwavhnusiku police station where she was reunited with her daughter.

A case of r**e was opened against the male suspect who is still at large.
The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has assured the community that the dedicated men and women in blue are working very hard to ensure that perpetrators are traced, arrested and face the full consequences of the law.
