Face to Face Friday ✝️

Today, I’m looking at a face that has been through the fire and came out stronger. I’ve lost over 600 pounds but hear me when I say this: there is nothing special about me. I’m just a woman who decided to trust God with the pieces of my life I thought were too broken to fix.

If you’re reading this thinking, “I could never do that” you are so wrong. The same God who gave me the strength, discipline, and hope to keep going will do the exact same for you. He doesn’t play favorites. His Word says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13) and that promise is for YOU too.

It’s never too late. You’re never too far gone. You’re never “too much” or “too little” for God to transform your life. Your starting point doesn’t scare Him one bit.

So, whatever your mountain looks like today health, weight, addiction, grief, fear take that first step. Then the next. And the next. One day you’ll look back and realize that the climb was worth it, and you’ll see God’s fingerprints all over your journey.

If He can do it for me, He can do it for you. Don’t give up. 💛

Lately, I’ve been doing some soul-searching. I truly believe that when we go through hard times, it’s often God’s way of humbling us. It’s not meant to break us but to remind us who’s really in control. Sometimes life gets heavy. Doors close. People walk away. Prayers feel unanswered. And in those moments, when we feel most alone, most confused, most broken… that’s when God is drawing us closer.
See, when everything is going right, it’s easy to start thinking we’ve got it all figured out. We lean on our own strength. We make plans and move fast. But then life throws us a curveball and we’re forced to slow down, to let go of our pride, and to remember: we were never meant to do this life without Him.
Hard times strip away the noise. They reveal what (and who) really matters. They test our faith, our patience, our character. And they make us realize just how much we need God, not just when life is falling apart, but every single day.
I’ve learned that being humbled doesn’t mean being punished. It means being refined. It means God is shaping us for something greater. It means He’s reminding us to trust Him, to walk by faith and not by sight. To get out of our own way and let Him work.
So if you’re walking through a season of struggle,keep going. God is still good. You’re not being forgotten; you’re being prepared. You’re not being punished; you’re being positioned. Sometimes the valley is where we learn the most. Sometimes it takes being broken to be rebuilt better.
Let the hard times teach you. Let them humble you. And let them remind you that grace shows up strongest when we finally admit we can’t do it all on our own.

People always ask me how I found the motivation to lose over 600 pounds…

Truth is, I didn’t.
There wasn’t some magical moment where it all clicked. I didn’t wake up with a sudden wave of motivation or a perfectly laid-out plan. I just started. I took it one day at a time—sometimes one minute at a time.

It wasn’t about being perfect.
It was about being consistent, even when I felt like giving up.
Even when I didn’t feel strong.
Even when the mountain ahead felt impossible to climb.

You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin.
It doesn’t matter how far you have to go—what matters is that you go.
Start messy. Start scared. Start tired. Just start.

And don’t ever believe the lie that where you are now defines where you can end up.

If I can do it, so can you. 💪
One step. One moment. One day at a time.
You’ve got this. ❤️
