Tick Tock
Robin Bliss
An old repost
Tick, Tick,
Tock, Tock,
Tick, Tock,
Goes the clock
Waiting, waiting
Impatiently
For her to come
Time drags on
Slow, slowly.
Tick, tick,
Tock. Tock.
Tick, Tock,
Goes the clock.
Peeping out
The window.
What's keeping her?
When will she come?
Time dawdles.
Tick, Tick
Tock, Tock,
Tick, Tock,
Goes the clock.
Pacing the floor.
Fidgeting.
Can't keep still.
Sluggishly
The minutes pass.
Tick, Tick,
Tock, tock,
Tick Tock
Goes the clock.
The minutes seem
Seem like hours.
Hours like days.
Time lingers
It's in no rush.
Tick, Tick,
Tock, Tock,
Tick, Tock,
Goes the clock.
Opening the door.
Looking for her.
Nowhere to be seen.
Back inside.
Wandering around.
Tick, Tick,
Tock, Tock,
Tick, Tock,
Goes the clock.
Restlessly pacing.
Then the door flies open.
And she is there,
In my arms.
Together again.
At last
At last

In this poem I have tried to
capture the slow passing of time
By reptation.
