Well there you go… 39 + 12 months ;)🍾

What a great birthday I’ve had, thank you to the girls and Darren (and Nessie) and my mum and dad and sister for everything and thank you to all my friends who have celebrated with me.

Started my birthday with a TV presenter audition which went well 🤞🏼, went to a self shoot studio .photostudio to get some pretty pictures to mark the day and then went to the Grease immersive film/musical which was incredible. Followed by a gorgeous family beach hut day and then a night of drinking and dancing with friends.

Now let’s see if ‘they’ are right and life really does begin at 40 ;)

Fab week in Cyprus last week for one of my oldest friend’s weddings, friends since we were 11 🥰. And catching up with my Brighton girls and their kids was just the best, a beautiful day!

Photos when the photographer is a friend just hit in a different way, the comfort you feel when you can relax and know that you aren’t being judged in any way. Joe brought out the ‘quiet me’ in these photos, more reflective and erm less cheesy than I can be often! I loved our session and I love what we got out of it ❤️.

Marrakech! I’ve wanted to go for so long so I was really pleased to finally make it there although prior to going I didn’t really have any knowledge about the place (googling two days before what the currency was/temperature was /dress code etiquette was 🤣🤣).

Only 3 hours 15 mins on the plane and wow what a culture change! I’ve tried to include a variety of photos/videos in this post to show the ‘real’ Marrakech… mad motorbikes everywhere, hundreds of stray cats, markets etc but also photos of some of the modern rooftop restaurants and our beautiful riad we stayed in (). Riads were houses for the wealthy, which used to have a fountain in the centre and an open courtyard lots have been converted into hotels and restaurants and they are right in the centre of Marrakech.

The markets/Medina are a bit mad as are the Souks but have your wits about you and you’ll be ok… we only got randomly hassled by someone once. Also I chose to dress respectfully and cover my knees and shoulders, many didn’t and it’s it’s not a hard and fast rule but I didn’t want to create unwelcome attention so preferred to cover… even though it was very hot! Getting up to 39 one day!

It’s a ‘closed currency’ in Morocco so you can only get it once there, most places accept euros too and they still very much like cash, even one of the new, cool rooftop restaurants Otto only took cash.

If you’ve read this far well done!! We also took a day trip to the waterfalls and had an amazing hamman exfoliation treatment and massage.. and we bought random smelly things from a very knowledgeable man who probably ripped us off but we didn’t care 🤣.

Happy Birthday to my favourite husband ever! Another year round the sun and you’re aging like a fine wine or David Beckham… not sure which is better 😉. Living with a house full of females can’t be too stressful! We love you lots, Nessie says she particularly loves you in the morning but she still loves me more 🤣😘.

Giving the curly look a go… it seems to last one day and then goes into a ball of fluff but I’m liking the change! Who knew there was so much curl there naturally 🤣

It was adventure time for me and Vic again, my fab holiday partner! And what an amazing time we had in Thailand, kayaking through mangroves, up close with elephants, mad thieving beach monkeys, 1260 steps to a temple in 30 degree heat, fun nights out, chilled nights in, lots of seven 11 trips, crazy curly hair, beautiful sunsets, back of the truck rides, long boat trip, so many fire shows and we even managed a lady boy show and lots and lots of dancing! I also discovered a love for a beer… shout out to Chang 🍺! To say we squeezed every little bit out of the trip would be true and it was thanks to who we were visiting and took us to the best places and gave us the best time and we also got to spend time with her two absolutely adorable kids too 🥰. Probably slept on average 4 hours a night and ate about 1 meal a day (and best not to mentioned the amount or lack of showers I’ve had 🤣) so it’s taking a little while to get over but Thailand we loved you!
