Busy time up on the Cornish allotments, keeping the grasses down. Broad beans looking good, spuds mounded up and the agapanthus stunning again this year with lots of flower spikes.

Taming the wilderness up on the Cornish allotment , after such a cold spring everything seems to be flourishing . Vaseline seems to have deterred the slugs and snails in the tubs but water is the issue, so it’s back down to the cottage to fill up the milk bottles !

Busy time on the Cornish allotment, spuds are up, beans and courgettes going in. Carrots and radishes sown and broad beans looking promising. We’re trialing Vaseline around the tops of the tubs to keep the slugs and snails away and lining the raised beds with cardboard.
