There is a marvelous magazine focused on Science Fiction and Fantasy. See it at METASTELLAR.COM. They put one of my fantasy stories into their latest book: The Best of MetaStellar Year Three anthology. It contains 46 stories drawn from three years of magazine issues. As a note, MetaStellar is rated right up there with the iconic Clarkesworld Magazine, so you will find some grand stories indeed in this anthology, including mine... :-)
I just completed a nonfiction article for them titled Early Sci-Fi Stories—How Our Dream of Morphing Vision into Probability Began. It was fascinating to write, delving into original works and describing what these amazing authors accomplished. If you subscribe to the MetaStellar email newsletter, they send out a host of stories and links and current events in sci-fi and fantasy writing, including information on Hugo and Nebula awards--amazing detail. This way, you will also get notified when my article is in print. One of the earliest science fiction stories I mention was written in 1657 and a number were written in the first decade of the 1900s by authors who later became internationally known.
Every Friday they have podcast in which they give a review of books on the bestselling list that are FREE for readers. Editor and publisher Maria Korolov is a writer herself and also an award-winning freelance technology journalist who covers artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and enterprise virtual reality.
