Roam the streets of Rome🇮🇹

The best way to see Rome is to walk it
I loved wandering around Rome, listening to the language, the busy street during the day, but also the quiet early in the morning.
It felt very different exploring early in the morning compared to the afternoon/evening.

When do you prefer to explore in the morning, afternoon, or nighttime? And why?

Inside the beautiful Vatican City⛪️

A must do when visiting Rome
I recommend booking a tour so that you can skip the line, see the museum, St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel (not pictured due to no photography allowed , so you'll just have to go see it yourself).

📌TIP: If I got to do it again, I would book a morning tour and the first session as there wouldn't be any crowds. The afternoon was so crowded, and I missed the opportunity to climb to the Dome as it closed early due to a massive queue.

Moments from Trastevere and River Tiber🌿

If I went back to Italy again, I would have more time to explore around Trastevere and eat at different restaurants, tasting all the delicious food and ending in a food coma😋🍝🍕

📍Foro Roman (Roman Forum)

Easily could've spent a day here, surrounded by history!

Tip: if you are seeing the Colosseum, leave the rest of your day free to explore the Roman Forum and Palantine Hill, as access is included in your ticket

I made the mistake of having another tour booked for the afternoon, so I couldn't explore the Palantine Hill part.

📍Colosseum

One of the new seven wonders of the world. The grand amphitheter built from 72AD and completed in 80AD, became the place where Roman citizens could seek entertainment. Though not the kind of entertainment we'd consider to be entertainment nowadays.

This place is definitely a must do!

It is best to get there early or book a tour or get a skip the ticket line ticket to tour inside the Colosseum.

📍 Swiss institution in Rome

Found this place while I was roaming around Rome. There was an art exhibition on for the week and you could explore the beautiful gardens.
