Since Gaza, I’ve been feeling things I don’t have names for.
New emotions. Heavy ones.
Ones that only exist when you’re holding your child…
while watching other mothers lose theirs.

This carousel is not a poem. It’s a reflection of what it feels like to mother through genocide.
To live in a world where safety is a privilege.
Where innocence is stolen in real time.
Where your baby’s breath becomes the only thing that anchors you.

These are the emotions so many of us are carrying now — fire and grief and guilt, all tangled together.
We are not okay. And we shouldn’t be.
Because if we ever become okay with this, we’ve lost our humanity.

In a terrorist attack, a wh!te male picked up a toddler and slammed him to the ground in an airport in Russia fracturing the toddler’s skull and spine. The toddler is now in a coma.

The reason he did this: because the child was Iranian.

Mainstream media will not call this terrorism because he is wh!te. “Terrorism is the use of violence against non-combatants to achieve political or ideological aims.”

This is terrorism.

There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING complicated or controversial about standing up for children’s rights and their right for safety. This goes to ALL children around the world including Palestinian children and Iranian children.
