Sometimes you meet people and instantly feel — this just fits.
In 2022, I walked into Handpan Studio Amsterdam for the first time, and I’ve been coming back every week since.
From those visits grew an internship, a role as a studio all-rounder, and eventually, a friendship.
After our EP Grounded (not released (yet)), I created two more tracks with Panne Dua earlier this year.
One of them is Phoenix Dawn, featuring Joris on handpan.
With the handpan woven into the track, it added that subtle layer of softness — right in the middle of its raw, powerful sound.

This track is something special.
“Phoenix Dawn” came out of nowhere — like the sun rising, fast and full of energy.
From the first moment, I knew it needed a handpan.
I’m incredibly proud of how it turned out.
Then came a bonus: Dzanar created a next-level visualizer — black & white, with raw nineties vibes.
The first time I saw it, it gave me goosebumps.
The beat is powerful — it’s made to move.
