Iowa’s “Silent Six” in Congress talked big about what they were “gonna do” re: the Farm Bill during the last two election cycles but it was all hot air. TWO YEARS ago they let the old Farm Bill expire and to this day not only has Congress STILL not enacted a new one, Congress and the “Silent Six” have done little to nothing to get a new one psssed.

Pure and simple, Iowans in Congress who should have been leading the effort to pass a new Farm Bill, dropped the ball. Big time.

New Pentagon directives will overhaul the channels that allow troops and defense personnel to file whistleblower complaints, report toxic leadership or point out discrimination.

How would you like to have been a women in the military today - a professional soldier, sailor or Marine, who sacrifices every day to serve her country, whose family sacrifices every day as she serves, and who is literally willing to put her life on the line and die if need be, to protect her country - listening to the President of the United States and Secretary of Defense denigrate your service and sacrifice, just because you are a woman.

Don’t ever tell me again that Donald Trump and his Republican MAGA Goons support or honor the military.

There is already lots of evidence to the contrary. His insane speech Tuesday, on its own, proves it.

September 30, 2025, is a date which will live in both infamy and the annals of government stupidity.

This date will be remembered in the annals of history as the day Republicans, while they vacationed, shut down the government, again.

And the day on which the Republican President of the United States declared war against the American people, and invited assembled Generals and Admirals to join him.

What a dark, dark, sad day for American democracy.

The President is insane. That is the kindest thing I can say about him.

His Republican boot licking lackeys in Congress are pitiful, one trick ponies who don’t know how to govern.

We know the Congress is required by the constitution to enact a declaration of war to wage war against a foreign nation.

I think a congressional declaration is also required - and should be required - when a president is stupid enough to unilaterally declare war against the American people.
