Our Story
As an independent publisher we were founded on the premise of being a landing point for excellence in literature that is without a voice in the mainstream of large publishing houses. We sought to illuminate the way for authors much in the way a lighthouse serves as a beacon for sailors during their voyage. Perhaps it was fate, and not just a little coincidental, that we were previously located out of Lighthouse Point Florida. After all, where else do you expect to find a lighthouse–be it literally or metaphorically?
MISSION: We publish well-written and well-crafted books of literary merit that appeal to firm, intended audiences. Interested in quality instead of just “names,” we are committed to authors who view their craft not merely as jobs, but as occupations. We expect attention to detail and professionalism, beginning with the author and ending with his or her books as well as the resulting image of the person who penned them. We believe the best and most professional writers are those who write what they love and love to write.
SUBMISSIONS: When we are accepting new work we review only solicited manuscripts. However we are NOT currently accepting inquiries or soliciting new work/authors. For more information (including about submissions) please see our website at http://www.TheLighthousePress.com/.
