It’s that time of the block again! PAX magazine is ready for YOUR ideas to create this block's magazine! Let us know what news, thoughts, poetry or ideas you would like to share with us using the form below. You can also let us know if you would like to write for us, but aren't very sure of what to write!

Please fill this form in by November 22nd at the latest. However, we do encourage you to submit your ideas as soon as possible to allow you an easier, less chaotic writing and editing process!

- Reach out to staff writers about articles they wish to write
- Edit articles for our block-wise publications

2. Designer (1 position open)
- Design pages of our magazine using InDesign
- Design posters for promotion

3. Head of Communications (1 position open)
- Post promotional material to our Instagram and pages
- Handle other aspects of our social media presence and promote us within LUC
- Design posters for promotion

***PAX STORY IDEA(S) SUBMISSIONS*** Hello all! PAX is starting up our final publication of the year! Whether you've contributed before for us or not, we'd love to include all ideas and interested students in our process. Submit all the story ideas you have (even if you don’t want to write yourself) by Saturday, May 1!

***Seeking Board Members***

Hello LUC! For the uninitiated, we are PAX Magazine – LUC’s free once-a-block newspaper wherein we publish the latest news, artistic endeavors, editorials, feature pieces and beyond related to our students, university and interests. For a full description we direct you towards or , but suffice to say we welcome the full range of content including, but not limited to poetry, art and interviews.

For general members who are interested in submitting work, we will be announcing the setup and time for our quarterly brainstorming sessions soon.

For now, we would like to commence this strange new year by inviting any interested candidates to apply for the open Board positions of the time.

This includes:

(2) Head Editors: Both a First and Second/Third year.
The role of the editor is essential- guiding our writers in finding the best angle, fine-tuning grammar and potential errors while ensuring the integrity of PAX. Given the value we place in editing, we've opened up the position of editor to focus on editing stories directly and working with writers one-on-one.

Designer: Open to all years
PAX is looking for individuals with design experience who can help with the creative vision of the magazine in terms of layout, visual elements and other creative directions. We usually use Adobe InDesign, but other applicable skills are also welcome.

*What you hope to introduce to PAX as an editor/ designer

The deadline for second/third-years to apply is Sunday, August 30th. The deadline for first-years to apply is Sunday, September 6th, following the committee fair. Feel free to approach us with any questions either during the committee fair, through our Facebook/email or by messaging Lunow.

**Note- all are welcome to engage in Pax as a committee, so regardless of position, we hope to see you all next year and to further introduce ourselves at the committee fair!**

PAX is very excited to present a sneak preview of our cover for the Block 1 edition! Thank you to all of our contributors - writers, designers, artists, photographers – for all your work and effort! 🙂

Like last year, we will print based on the orders for hard copies. Therefore, if you want to reserve a hard copy version of this block’s edition, please fill out this form! If you live in the building, we will deliver a copy to your mailbox, otherwise we’ll let you know where to pick up your copy once the magazines have arrived!

Please submit a few lines of text describing your article idea for this block. This could be an interview, opinion, creative, satire, or any other format of your choice. We will get back to you over the weekend!

PAX IS LOOKING FOR ARTISTS!!! - “Draw Your First Year”

Attention all first years! For the Block 4 edition of PAX, we would like to get an impression of your first year at LUC. In total, we would like to publish 4 drawings (half of an A4 page each) that illustrate your experiences. There are no limits to your imagination and creativity! If you are interested in submitting a piece, please contact either PAX Magazine on Facebook or send an e-mail to [email protected]! We are looking forward to receiving your drawing(s)!
