An illness occurs when an individual's wellness changes from the culture's normal standard to a state that cannot adapt or conform to wellness. Normal or ill health standards have to be consistent with and reflect the culture. Wellness cannot be based upon Caucasian theory or an assumed truth. Truth is people and people are culture. Truth is not an abstract idea, or a scientific laboratory experiment theory generated concept. Truth is an agent of a culture. Healers are agents of a culture. If the African healers mix and accept an alien culture's theory-based knowledge (Caucasian), certification and accreditation then African healing science and art becomes Europeanized diluted and alien to Africans. An African that changes any aspect of an African healing modality is performing a cultural transplant and a delicate surgery. One slip of the cultural surgical knife (error) can cause African culture to become colonialized and/or diseased. Making a change in treatment is like digging a well for water. You have to dig deep into African cultural soil to reach an underground stream of fresh water-a new African healing modality. Ma'at guided research is a way to dig into African healing systems.

Actually, African-centered wholistic health, herbal medicine, healers and whole food diet utilize the total plant (spiritual, emotional, intellectual, nutrient) rather than the partial caloric and nutrient values. So, it followed that a whole (unprocessed) plant treated a whole person. The primary differences between European and African wholistic health is in the concept and analytical (fragmentation) approach. African wholism never divided, isolated a nutrient or fragmented a plant to understand the plants biochemical personality. Plant personalities are specific properties associated with a particular plant. A "plant personality" "causes it to treat, heat or cool a particular part of the body or organ. It affects the speed or slowness of its use in the body. Each plant or treatment has a ritual and ceremony associated with the plant's cycle, the time of day it is picked, and the day of the week it is prepared. The zodiac sign, deity and/or the biochemical personality of the plant, patient, healer or disease has to be given attention, primarily, because wellness or disease represents a spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical part of the culture. The African Maat culture dictates that the herb, as well as the person taking the herb, are in communion with God. Plant biochemical personality dictated the choice of plant (herb) to use in disease treatment. Isolating one of the herb's nutrient or chemical is like having two blind people describe an elephant--the one at the tail says the elephant is skinny, and the one at the foot describes the elephant as tall with a shell (toe nails). Isolating an herb's nutrient or chemical destroys its relationship to other nutrients in the plant and destroys the understanding of the healing effect of its spirit, emotions, nutrients, zodiac sign, and elements.

The most damaging synthetic foods in the modem GMO, and processed diet are bleached white flour and white sugar. Bleached flour is constipating because it has no fiber (non digestible roughage). Fiber allows intestinal muscles to exercise and cleans the digestive organs and leaves the body at a normal transient rate. Bleached white flour is robbed of over twenty-two vitamins and minerals. White sugar has no fiber, no nutrients and increases the sugar level in the body beyond its natural level, which results in nutrient deprivation, hyperactivity, senility, arthritis, hearing problems, dry skin, hair loss, yeast infection, mood swings, addiction, diabetes, high blood pressure, nerve and brain damage, kidney failure and eye deterioration. Fried foods thicken the blood and are un-digestible, constipating, and partially used by the body. The combination of these synthetic processed foods with edible drugs such as preservatives, additives and dyes results in behavior control and chemical warfare. It is common knowledge that chemicals (drugs, aspirin, depressants, amphetamines) influence behavior and alters moods. The eating of these chemicals causes nutritional slavery.

Culture creates the individual and family. It provides the rewards, punishments, and values for an individual's emotional, mental, physical and spiritual personality. Culture serves the individual and individual serves culture. An individual's healing art and science serves their culture. Wholistic foods or medicine book written from a Chinese, Japanese or Caucasian cultural perspective is unacceptable to Black folks' cultural needs. There is not one institution (science, medicine, marriage, law, nutrition, sports, mathematics, physics, chemistry) in Caucasian culture, which has not become distorted from White Domination supported by the belief of White Supremacy protected by White Racism that provides White Privileges.

Memory storage starts with the babies before birth. Before birth the child thinks, feels, cries, laughs, plays, speaks in unclear murmurs and remembers. Memory is part of DNA and the cellular brain activity of the brain stem and middle brain (corpus colostrum). The brain stem and corpus colostrum are developed before the cerebrum. They are sometimes called the primitive brain. The brain stem and Corpus Colostrum are a reservoir (storage house) of emotion/intellect that is twice as old and mature as the cerebrum. This reservoir can be used deliberately and/or unintentionally (subconsciously).

The two hemispheres of the brain (amemene) and the spinal cord, comprising the central nervous system (axis) above, is related to the two te**es and the phallus/kote/ka structure below. The te**es produce the s***m which will activate the o**m for the purpose of conception. The two hemispheres of the brain work together to conceive that which will be created. This is the connection between spiritual/mental conception and physical conception governed by Amen-Men. It should be noted that the Obosom Afi (Het Heru) also has the title Menmenit in Kamit (Amenmenewaa in Akan). She governs the female aspect of this spiritual and physical procreative process. In the Yoruba tradition, under the form of Oshun Ibu D’oko, She is the wife of Orisha Oko. Her symbol in this form is the v***a while Orisha Oko‘s symbol is the phallus. It should also be noted that the neural tube is the first major structure to develop in the embryo. This references Amen-Men as the Elder or Ancient One. The amemene (brain) records and preserves everything that has occurred within the individual since conception. Amen-Men is thus the Preserver/ Defender of the Past; Enshriner of Protocol.

To a significant degree Afrikan Americans accept and obey predominant White American power and its authorities (at least from a social-psychological standpoint) because they agree with the rules of their establishment and expression as defined by White Americans; share with White Americans the moral, legal, and other values and perspectives which justify them; and to some extent (limited and of recent origin) because they, i.e., Blacks, have been permitted by White Americans to participate in political and social processes by which White power is given legitimacy. To a limited degree, Afrikan Americans have been permitted access to certain positions of competent and legitimate authority. These factors contribute mightily to their acceptance of White American power (domination) and the White American monopoly of positions of authority as legitimate. These forms of giving consent to the social power status quo on the part of Blacks help to obscure as well as deny the fact that they are in fact a dominated and severely exploited group (regardless of class); and helps to obscure the fact that their uncritical acceptance of the "rules," moral beliefs, perspectives, and their customary-traditional participation in the "American" (White) political-economic process and system is tantamount to the legitimation of their own oppression and to the consensual ensuring of their own powerlessness.

To a very significant extent White domination of Blacks, which initially and until relatively recently was expressed in terms of physical force coercion, the threatened use of force along with its occasional use, now expresses itself as influence. By means of the various forms of influence we have discussed, Whites dominate Blacks without appearing to deliberately do so and without having to revert to the sheer use of force and coercion. Consequently, they convince or persuade many Blacks to behave in ways compatible with maintaining White power, and incompatible with generating Black Power, while Blacks self-deceptively think that such behavior on their part is purely “voluntary,” reasonable, or obligatory. This situation devolves from Blacks having accepted Eurocentric frames of reference and perceptions of reality. Only by choosing to accept and live by an Afrocentric frame of reference will Blacks escape the dispowering White influence and,correspondingly, enhance their own power.

While the ability of the dominant agent to coerce the subordinate subject may rest heavily on the subject's exaggerated misperception of the dominant agent's actual capacity to do him harm, equally and often of greater importance, the ability of the dominant agent to coerce the subject may rest on the subject's misperception and underestimation of his own capacity to successfully thwart the coercive or punitive actions of the dominant agent. The often anemic self-concept of subordinate persons and groups, their low self-esteem, their ignorance of their actual strengths, are more the causes of their subordination than is the actual strength of their oppressors.

The ultimate force in the world is the force of mind. When that force is defeated all is lost. Dominant Whites have used words and symbols to violently and unrelentingly attack oppressed Blacks in a thousand and one nefarious ways, including the projection of dehumanizing stereotypes and caricatures of them; the falsification of their history and culture; the miseducation of Blacks; and the engaging in chronic derisive media attacks on their morals, behavior, intelligence, ways of life, sexuality, physical features, motives and values. The final end of the violent White-instigated psychic assaults against the collective psyche of Blacks is to induce in them states of false consciousness, self-alienation and self-hatred so as to irreparably impair their capacity to overthrow their White oppressors through the mobilization of their human and material resources.

There is a form of conduct, often described as psychic, psychological or moral force or violence, which does not fit readily under the rubrics of any of the other forms of power. If physical violence involves inflicting damages on the body of a person, how is one to classify the
deliberate effort to affect adversely a person's emotions or his feelings and ideas about himself by verbally, or in other symbolic ways, insulting or degrading him? If ... power includes the production of purely mental or emotional effects and is not confined to the eliciting of overt acts, then the psychic assault of, say, a nagging, browbeating spouse or parent, the defamation of the character of a political foe or even of
an entire group, constitute exercises of power.. Damage to the psyche is surely as real as damage to the body. ... It is plainly not true that 'sticks and stones may break my bones but names can never hurt me'. Psychic violence, in which the intended effect of the perpetrator is to inflict mental or emotional harm, is continuous with physical violence....

WE HAVE SOME OF OUR PEOPLE who think that slavery was back then and has nothing to do with them. We have never escaped slavery. We still share the slave consciousness of our great-great grandparents. You say slavery has
nothing to do with you and slavery was back there. I ask you, then: What language do you speak? When did you learn that language? Was that the language Afrikan people were speaking when taken into slavery in the Caribbean and
the Americas? The language we speak at this moment is the slave language - the language that our slave ancestors were forced to learn. We still speak it and you can still hear the pidgin, the creole and the other carryovers in our
language right at this moment, the experience they had to go through. That language, with its words defined by history and by an experience, is the language we use to guide our behavior. It's the language we use today to talk
to ourselves. It's the language we use today to learn about ourselves and to learn about the world. It's the language we use today to understand ourselves Is there any wonder that we are still confused?

What kind of food do you eat? You say soul food! Was that the food of Afrikan people? Slave food, the food that we find most satisfying, the food that we find sticks-to-our-ribs, the food we call " down home," the food we learned to eat in the slave quarters, and yet we dare say we have escaped slavery! How can you say that you exist in another consciousness from those people?

What kind of clothes are we wearing? Were these the clothes of Afrikan people?

What kind of names do we respond to? Tamika, and all these other names we've got going on out here! What kind of names do we identify with? Why is it that Afrikan names sound strange to us, and yet we dare say we have a different consciousness from our slave great-grandparents?

We are still of the same consciousness; we are still in the same position. Still servants. Our reason for being in America is to serve white folk and to generate wealth for them Ultimately, I ask the question that's closest to home.

What kind of god do you worship? What's the name of it? Who taught you to praise Him? Was this the god you were praying to before you were brought to these shores? Is this the religion you had before you were brought to these shores? Can you name one Afrikan god? How can you then define yourself - the very essence of yourself, the very essence of your soul - and organize the very nature of your life here
on Earth based on a god handed to us by our slavemasters and then claim that you have no slave consciousness and are not related to slavery? In other words we are not Afrikans - we are possessed!
