SEARCH FOR MISSING SPANISH SAILOR MAY SOON SHIFT TO RECOVERY
THE Royal Bahamas Defence Force’s search for 56-year-old sailor Miguel Campoy is active but may soon shift to a recovery operation, it was revealed yesterday, after his vessel’s dinghy was found adrift and the United States Coast Guard suspended its effort in line with protocol.

Good morning consumers, a prolonged disruption in power supply came as a result of our system being significantly impacted by severe weather in the area yesterday.

Downed high voltage lines and inclement weather contributed to the delay in our team being able to respond to multiple issues.

We wish to assure consumers that our team is working diligently at this hour to conduct repairs on all damaged infrastructure.

We are advised by our technicians that there are multiple pockets of outages across the island.

We expect that restoration of power supply will be completed by 1:00 pm.

We apologize for the disruption in power supply and appreciate your patience as our teams work to restore electricity.

At 8:48 AM, a heavy surge on the grid caused all major feeders to trip offline. As a result, customers in Central Abaco, South Abaco, and the Cays are currently without supply.
