🚧🚤 The Burnt Store Boat Ramp, located at 230 Burnt Store Road South, will be closed from Wednesday, August 13, through Friday, August 15, 2025, due to an asphalt resurfacing project. Barring unforeseen circumstances, the ramp is expected to reopen Saturday, August 16.

Alternate City-Owned Boat Ramps Available:
During this period, residents and boaters are encouraged to utilize other City-owned boat ramps:

▪️ BMX Boat Ramp—1509 SW 7th Court (Just North of Trafalgar Boulevard). This facility offers a double boat launching ramp, access to an extensive freshwater canal system south of Pine Island Road, and restrooms.
▪️Horton Park Boat Ramp—2628 SE 26 Place. This ramp offers access to the Caloosahatchee River and the Gulf of Mexico, with ample parking and facilities.
▪️Rosen Park Boat Ramp—2414 SE 15 Terrace. A spacious facility with multiple ramps, trailer parking, and restrooms.

A bit wavy?

Sidewalks along Nelson Road, between Nicholas Parkway and Tropicana Parkway, were recently installed to improve pedestrian safety. But some residents say the uneven surfaces are causing more problems than they solve.
