Significant upgrade to the camera department this week with this new arrival, the remarkable Nikon Z8 which is my first step into the mirrorless camera world. It looks like a stills camera, but I've added it primarily to be used as a video camera, which means I can now offer 8K video, if anyone wants it (as well as the more practical 4K and various kinds of HD formats) It's going to take a few days for me to get through the instruction manual though. A Bottle of Champagne to the first client who specifies 8K as their format of choice on a job!

Latest addition to the equipment list. Hopefully cutting down on those endless trips back to the car to collect the gear... now we can just bring bring most of it on the first trip.

...this is from the same series as the video below, but without using the teleprompter. We made a dozen or so of these videos for Fostering Fortnight, (don't worry, I'm not going to post them all, but I'll link to them from my website) it definitely changes the feel of the presentation using it, but it doesn't suit everybody.

First outing for the new "Tele-prompter today. Bit of a fiddle to set up, although I'm sure that will get easier once I get used to it. Definitely a game changer for those straight to camera formal videos.
