The 2024 Fable Forest Films Fall Classic recap is finally hitting YouTube! ⛳🎬

We’ll admit, we didn’t capture nearly as much footage from this one as we wish we had. Somewhere along the way, a chunk of the day seems to have disappeared into the filmmaking abyss. 😂

But there were still some great moments worth sharing.

Including perhaps our finest display of Fall Classic strategy yet...

Adrian and I carefully saved and used our tickets to manufacture a HOLE-IN-ONE on the 9th hole. 😂⛳

Was it technically a real hole-in-one? Absolutely not.

Did the rules allow it?

That’s the important question. 😎

The Fall Classic has always been about more than just golf. Strategy, ridiculous challenges, questionable decisions, good friends, and raising money to help emerging filmmakers make movies.

Here’s a little look back at the 2024 tournament.

to the making of 'My Huntsville Muse' 🎬

Back in 2018, James Jonathon McDougall and Alana Jordan stepped in front of our cameras as Gregory Hammond and his mysterious muse.

One of the coolest things about looking back at an old Fable Forest project is seeing where everyone’s creative lives have taken them since.

James went on to appear in the wonderfully brutal 'Becky', alongside Lulu Wilson, Kevin James, and Joel McHale. More recently, he co-wrote and starred in the survival thriller 'Whiteout' which is absolutely wild and sitting on our shelves!!

Alana, now working as Alana Jordan, has continued acting in projects including 'The Handmaid’s Tale', 'Ripple', and 'Mistletoe Time Machine'. She has also become an incredible visual artist. We’ve actually become collectors ourselves and own several of her pieces!

But these behind-the-scenes photos take us back to a few days in 2018, making a strange little romantic film about regret, mortality, inspiration, and finding your muse when you least expect it.

Okay. This one has been a long time coming.

The Art of 8 Limbs is finally coming to YouTube, free.

We originally made this Muay Thai documentary series in 2018, following fighters, coaches and gyms across Ontario through the training, nerves and work that lead to fight night.

Now we finally get to bring the series to our YouTube channel.

Season 1 begins with two fighters preparing for the same night from two very different gyms.

Chris Coates of Darkside Muay Thai & Fitness vs Jon Chapman of Guelph MMA.

Training. Preparation. Life outside the ring. Then, fight night.

Two fighters. Two gyms. One fight.

Then, jump into the full episode and follow the series as we release it on YouTube.

If you know someone who loves Muay Thai, combat sports, or a good fight story, send this their way.

Throwback Thursday to the beginning of The Art of 8 Limbs.

With support from Bell, we set out to follow the raw journey of Muay Thai fighters as they trained, prepared, and eventually stepped into the ring.

What started as a documentary series became one of our favourite filmmaking adventures.

And over the next little while, you’re going to be seeing a lot more from The Art of 8 Limbs. Get ready!!

Throwback Thursday to the time Jay, Ash, and Mike found themselves working as background performers on Black Fawn Films horror movie The Heretics!!

One of the fun things about being part of the local film community is occasionally ending up on somebody else’s set instead of your own.

A crazy night, some wonderfully creepy costumes and sets, and another little chapter in the Fable Forest history books.

Here are a few photos from behind the scenes.

What if your family feud followed you into the afterlife? 🌲👻

Bickerman’s Grove is our dark comedy about two families, one inheritance, and a competition that gets increasingly ridiculous, until even death fails to put an end to the shenanigans!

Here’s a little taste.

The full film is available right now, completely FREE on YouTube.

Throwback Thursday to Bickerman’s Grove.

This was one of those projects that really helped shape the early days of Fable Forest. A dark comedy, a great group of people, a whole lot of filmmaking lessons, and a ridiculous number of memories.

We went digging through the old photo archive and found a bunch from the shoot, so here are a few favourites.

It’s pretty cool looking back at everything that went into making this one.
