DCIH received it's first payment of our GoFundMe Campaign. It is now safely deposited into our DCIH account. A HUGE thanks to all the people that donated to this fund. It is being strictly used for refugee families that are in dire need of essential items...diapers, food, seasonal clothing, jackets, snowpants, shoes, winter boots etc.

I was given the option to leave it open and running and I have chosen to do that due to the fact that we have so much essential need for the families that I am working directly with.

These Winter Essentials are going to the Mom of an asylum seeking family. This family has let me know that these are the items they need. They all have winter jackets from last year that still fit them from a different nonprofit so we don't need to provide them to this family.

This Mom is pregnant and needs winter maternity clothing that will fit her for most of the winter.

Hats off to our refugee parents who have done what they need to do to get their families to the United States safely. It's a very treacherous journey.
