Around this time last year, we had the most amazing group of people join us for the first edition of The Program: The Pipeline Journey.

Through a series of sessions and workshops on how to develop an animated project from start to finish, the participants brought to life “El Nadaha,” a one-minute short film that reimagines the tragic backstory of one of Egypt’s most chilling folklore legends.

We are proud to present their hard work over the past months. Check out the full video and their progress in the following slides.

Against a pitch-black background, a haunting voice narrates the violence and suffering during apartheid in South Africa, tracing a timeline of oppression, resilience, and the struggle for survival. The impactful storytelling and striking visuals not only captivated audiences but also marked one of the highlights of our journey this year, earning us the Jury Award at Annecy.

Explore the lesson’s artistic development, from storyboard to final version. You can also watch the full video on our website (link in bio!)
