As a Director/Producer, I’m fully against the use of AI replacing the work of actors. AI should be used for pre-vis/video storyboard work only. The human element in a performance should never be replaced. The skills of actors is integral to bringing our stories to life as real living breathing characters. AI can help with animated films on mocap with real actors and with assisting FX artists with their jobs on large scale sequences, but total replacement of a human performer is absurd.

RIP, Brent Hinds. Mastodon is one of my all time favorite bands with some of the best albums where every song is amazing. I know he had a lot of personal issues, it’s sad to hear he is gone.

Well after months of not knowing why people weren’t able to rate/review our film Blood Dried Hands on Rotten Tomatoes, we have the issue fixed and the ratings are pouring in. Thank you again to everyone that has seen the film! If you watch it in the future please make sure you run by Rotten Tomatoes, Letterboxd and IMDB and drop a rating, review or both for us please! We love to hear your thoughts on the film! We are currently sitting at 97%🍿 on the Popcorn Meter for audience score with over a 100+ ratings so far!

Received some sad news today. SAMUEL FRENCH passed away from Cancer. I had the pleasure to work with Sam when he gave an award winning performance as Joel Sharp in my film BLOOD DRIED HANDS. He knocked it out of the park and was such a great person to work with. Samuel was a talented performer and part of our Texas/Oklahoma Film Family. His loss will be felt by many. Samuel’s career was on the rise during his last few years of life, including his character having multiple scenes in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon with Robert De Niro and Jesse Plemons. RIP

RIP to one of the greatest actors I’ve ever witnessed. His intensity on screen I truly believe was the equal of Daniel Day Lewis, while also being a master of levity in between those intense moments with his sly sarcastic wit. I learned so much as an actor and filmmaker from watching him over the years. Even after cancer took everything from him, including his voice, he didn’t slow down. When they asked if he was retired, he replied not me…. I’m in my Prime…..
