UK post-punk godhead Mark Stewart completed his eighth solo LP The Fateful Symmetry just prior to his untimely passing in early 2023. Out as every on Mute, the posthumous release sees the Pop Group leader still blazing new sonic trails nearly fifty years in.
Available once again on limited red vinyl, Arca brought her vision of a truly twenty-first-century electronica to XL with with her self titled album of thirteen tracks that still stand outside of any sound, style or genre you may try and place it within.
Also landing this week are the first half of Clone’s 2025 editions of their classic Drexciya reissue series, Journey of the Deep Sea Dweller. An almost complete collection of the mystical production unit's early works, the new editions feature updated embossed artwork by critically acclaimed American artist Ellen Gallagher whose work has been inspired by the Drexciyan mythology.
