Police Remove Transients Trespassing at Turlock Chamber of Commerce in Central Park, Downtown

At about 10:14pm, Turlock Police responded to a city ordinance violation at Central Park, located at 101 S. Golden State Boulevard, in Downtown Turlock.

The caller was with Crime Guard, which monitors the surveillance trailers at City parks frequented by transients, including Central Park.

When Officers arrived on scene, they contacted two well-known transients who are regular customers of the Turlock Police Department, on the property of the Turlock Chamber of Commerce, located at 115 S. Golden State Boulevard, right in the middle of Central Park.

Officers confirmed there was a trespass letter on file for the Chamber and removed the transients from the property.

According to Turlock Municipal Code § 10-1-14(r), it is unlawful for any person to, “Be, remain, stay, or loiter in any public park between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the following day, except as provided by resolution of the Council.”

Turlock Police continue to battle the negative impacts of homeless shelters and service providers that have brought more transients and related crime to the city, as the majority of the Turlock City Council continues to work toward holding the Homeless Industrial Complex accountable while being attacked by Governor Gavin Newsom for doing just that - and protecting all the citizens, taxpayers, small businesses, workers, and Fire/Police personnel in Turlock‼️🙏🙌💪
