Beer O’Clock Hill finally got me 😅

I gave it a proper crack in the Tank 300, but this time the hill won…

Front left CV broken
Tyre popped off the rim
Ego slightly damaged

That’s 4WDing though, sometimes you drive out, sometimes you get a repair bill and a story 😂

Still had an unreal weekend at Springs 4x4 Park, and honestly… I’ll be back for another go.

Unfortunate turn of events this weekend at the Springs 4x4 Park!

Tank 300s are not unstoppable on Beer O' Clock. This one was taken out and humbled, Lucas Bree definitely makes it look mighty easy.

The diesel Tank 500 is officially coming to Australia.

GWM has confirmed the new 3.0L turbo-diesel Tank 500 will arrive in Q3 2026.

* 170kW
* 620Nm
* 3500kg towing
* 9-speed auto
* 4WD

And yes...
That's actually 20Nm more torque than Ford's 3.0L V6 diesel.

BYD just fixed the Shark 6’s biggest weakness 👀

The new BYD Shark 6 Performance has landed with:
* 350kW
* 700Nm
* 3500kg towing
* $62,900 before on-roads

That 3500kg towing figure is the big one.
Until now, plenty of people dismissed the Shark because the regular model only had 2500kg towing.
But now?
This puts it right back in the fight against Ranger, Hilux, Cannon Alpha and other serious ute contenders.
So be honest…

The hybrid ute war is HEATING UP!

Ford has just slashed pricing on the Ranger PHEV, with the new XL Hybrid now starting from $59,000 drive-away 👀

That puts it right in the fight against the BYD Shark 6.

On paper the Ranger brings:

* Up to 49km EV driving range

Meanwhile the Shark 6 has already been making serious noise in Australia with strong sales and growing interest from ute buyers.

The GWM Tank 400 is shaping up to be one of the most interesting 4WDs we could see in Australia.

The big question is where it lands on price.
