When sending messages on LinkedIn, it's important to approach it as if you were speaking to someone in person.

Just like in face-to-face conversations, being polite, unassuming, and positive is key. Make sure to address the recipient by their name, and avoid asking too many questions or being pushy. By following these guidelines, you can foster positive interactions and build meaningful connections on LinkedIn.

For example:

Hi Susie,

It's great to see that you participated in (so and so's) audio event! The topic they chose was truly engaging. I was particularly captivated when you mentioned (mention specific part of the conversation). I could relate to that because (explain in more detail).
I also took the opportunity to visit your profile, and I must say, you share some truly valuable content. I'm excited to see more of it in my feed as we connect. Wishing you a productive and fulfilling day ahead!

That's all there is to it.

When we humanize our messages, it enhances the chances of receiving a reply. By making the recipient feel good and appreciated, we lay the foundation for building trust right from the beginning.
