What if your future windows weren’t made of glass—but wood? 🌲 Scientists in Sweden have engineered a groundbreaking material: transparent wood. By removing lignin from balsa wood and replacing it with a renewable polymer, researchers have created a crystal-clear alternative to glass that’s 75% lighter, won’t shatter, and offers better insulation.

It even transmits 90% of visible light while blocking heat-causing infrared rays—making it perfect for energy-efficient buildings. This sustainable marvel could soon show up in homes, greenhouses, and solar panels, proving that innovation can grow straight from nature itself.

Black hole imaging
For the first time in human history, we’ve seen the unseeable. When scientists released the first image of a black hole in 2019 a glowing ring surrounding a dark abyss in galaxy M87 it wasn’t just a scientific achievement, it was a cosmic revelation. This shadow, cast by a monster 6.5 billion times the mass of our Sun, confirmed Einstein’s predictions and turned theory into something we could actually witness. Black hole imaging, using a planet-sized network of telescopes called the Event Horizon Telescope, gave us a glimpse into a place where light itself gets trapped and where space and time begin to blur.

The future of computing has taken a groundbreaking turn, as scientists at Cortical Labs unveil CL1, the world’s first living computer powered by 800,000 lab-grown human brain cells.
Unlike traditional processors, CL1 integrates biological neurons with silicon hardware, allowing it to send and receive electrical impulses, process data, and adapt dynamically. These neurons are cultured directly on a silicon chip, creating a system that mimics aspects of natural brain function.

The neurons interact through Cortical Labs’ Biological Intelligence Operating System (biOS), which lets users deploy code through the neurons to execute computing tasks. To maintain functionality, CL1 is equipped with an internal life support system, including pumps, gas regulation, and temperature controls, which keeps the neurons alive for up to six months.

Starting in late 2025, CL1 will hit the market at $35,000 per unit, according to New Atlas. Given the specialized lab conditions required, Cortical Labs will also offer a remote cloud-based computing option for users who don’t have their own setup.

Scientists have developed a way to grow wood in a lab, offering a sustainable alternative that doesn’t require cutting down trees. According to Scitech Daily, Researchers at MIT have pioneered a method that allows them to control the properties of lab-grown wood, adjusting its stiffness and density to create customizable wooden products.

Using bioprinting techniques, researchers can grow customizable plant-based material that mimics natural wood. They can even adjust its stiffness and density, creating tailor-made wood products for construction, furniture, and more, without the waste of traditional lumber processing.

With deforestation causing the loss of millions of hectares of forest each year, lab-grown wood could help protect ecosystems and reduce environmental damage. While still in its early stages, lab-grown wood has the potential to provide a sustainable alternative for furniture, construction, and other industries.

Just watched Wick is Pain. 🔥 This ain’t just a documentary—it’s a war cry. Every frame screams what we forget: resilience isn’t pretty, it’s personal. It’s sleepless nights, broken bones, and still getting up to make your own myth. If you’ve ever been counted out, this one’s your mirror. Watch it. Then build anyway.

WICK IS PAIN is the true story behind the John Wick phenomenon, starring Keanu Reeves-from independent film to billion-dollar franchise.
