Do your best work. I took the plunge into the world of online content and media in 2008.

Started Guiding Media and under its umbrella created the Guiding Tech (GT) brand. Guiding Tech eventually became one of the best known consumer tech content destinations from India. That included the site guidingtech.com (5 million visits / month from around the world) and the Youtube channels Guiding Tech and GT Hindi which reached a combined subscriber base of over 2 million. The business was c

ompletely bootstrapped, with zero debt or outside funding. GT’s content got worldwide acclaim, starting from mentions from the likes of NYT and WIRED, to its content being included by Google in a presentation by Sundar Pichai at the Google I/O conference. I eventually sold the GT brand and all its properties to US-based Padre Media in 2020. The acquisition was covered by Economic Times, among other mainstream media outlets. I have a wide range of interests, but I like to think that I am a storyteller at heart.

Organized a storytelling competition for kids in the society on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The theme was Indian mythology.

Our epics have some incredible stories that need to be told and re-told. And nobody can tell these stories better than children. They tend to be unbiased and nonjudgmental, and focus on the essence and morals rather than the technicalities and logic which we adults bother ourselves with thereby destroying the real meaning of what these stories are all about.

What they’re about, in the end, is good overcoming evil and being righteous and hopeful and ethical.

I don’t know about you but I feel those are the right lessons to learn and imbibe. And the myths offer a great gateway into them.
