For the first time, Alternative SONA brings together musicians from different generations of Cebu's socially engaged music community in a single concert. Across punk, folk, alternative rock, metal, and other genres, these artists have used music to give voice to the social and political issues affecting our communities. Together, they offer an alternative soundtrack to the State of the Nation—one shaped not by official speeches, but by the voices and experiences of ordinary people.
