* Featured Rock Album: My Morning Jacket, *Is* (2025) . . . It's been awhile since this Kentucky indie rock band has featured on this show . . . sometimes a group will tend its sound elsewhere than some fans will like . . . but this album has a kind of old school feel to it, college rock peppy, sweetly weird . . . happy to have jumped back on their musical path . . .

* Featured Classic Rock Album: Rush, *2112* (1976) . . . This Canadian prog-rock trio's fourth album shows them coming into musical spaces more & more their own . . . the LP's first side devotes entirely to the science fiction rock opera title track, an epic tale of freedom fought for against repression that seems all too familiar even now . . . the second side is a series of shorter songs that let one relax a little & groove, heavy-groove . . . the back story of this record is that if it had not become the surprise hit it did, their record label would have dropped them, & they likely would have returned to their day jobs . . . the Rock & Roll Gods, this time, smiled favorably, & good history was made . . .

SpiritPlants Radio is an online 24/7 psychedelic radio station that has been on the air since 2003. We feature many kinds of musical programming, including rock, electronica, jazz, and classical. We also air news programs, comedians, and lectures by such great thinkers as Terence McKenna, Alan Watts, Timothy Leary, and Robert Anton Wilson. Much of our programming is created by a staff of DJs, and we are always looking out for people, experienced or not, who would like to try their hand at hosting a show. The mission of SpiritPlants Radio is to promote freedom of expression, freedom to experiment, and to encourage individuals who are still finding their unique voices to expand their ambitions. Everyone has something to say, whether by playing a song they like, or speaking something into a microphone. This is the psychedelic idealism we promote. SpiritPlants Radio: Turn on.
