So many of us spend most of our creative lives in the planning stage ๐ We research, imagine, outline and wait for the moment we finally feel ready. It feels productive, like we are inching closer to our dreams, but even daydreaming can become a distraction. The idea stays perfect in our minds, untouched by reality, yet nothing is being made. Nothing teaches quite like actually doing the thing โจ
This chapter pushed me to look closely at how I spend my time and how often fear is steering my habits. The fear of doing it wrong hides easily behind the feeling of preparation. What many of us really need is to show up for our creativity and begin creating, even when it feels uncomfortable. With enough practice, we will eventually notice that fear is no longer in the driverโs seat. ๐น
One of the biggest realizations from this week is how much I have stopped trusting myself with my free time. So much of it disappears into screens, and that constant scrolling numbs us instead of nourishing us. I am trying to rebuild that trust with intentional time, time that proves we can be trusted with our own goals. This is something I will be exploring more deeply in the coming weeks ๐ซ๐ฑ
But this carved-out time should not only be spent alone. Creativity doesnโt to grow in constant isolation. Community gives us confidence, inspiration and perspective. I am lucky to have people who uplift me, although I know not everyone has that support. Some relationships leave us drained, keeping us stuck in doubt or stagnation. Often this comes from a fear of being left behind when someone else begins to grow, but it still pulls precious energy away from our own healing and creative work. ๐ธ
Hereโs to carving out time, nurturing better soil and choosing action over the safety of the dream. We deserve to grow ๐ฟโจ
How do you spend your time and want are the ways you want to change how that time is spent? ๐
